Journey through the Abode of Clouds, Meghalaya

Located in North-East India, made up of the Khasi, Jaintia & Garo hills, Meghalayais filled with pristine breath-taking landscapes, which are yet to be explored by many!   • Umiam Lake – With a backdrop of the hills, it offers a picturesque view of the beauty of Meghalaya. Located 15 kilometres north of Shillong, the crisp breeze from the valleys will instantly make you feel refreshed. You can also go speed boating across the lake.
  • Elephant Falls – 12 kilometres from the main city, Elephant Falls is a tourist spotyou cannot miss out on! The multi-tiered waterfall has an easy walking trail and stairs for you to explore and view the waterfall in all its glory!
  • Shillong Peak – if you want to witness the beauty of Shillong, then this spot is the one for you! Shillong Peak, also called Laitkor Peak is 20 minutes drive from the city. For the ones who love a good trek, you can take the cobbled road up.
The city built on the hills has some amazing cafes that provide mouth-watering comfort food & local delicacies. Apart from the tourist spots, the Police Bazaar makes for a great place for shopping in Shillong, especially if you're looking for local handicrafts. Famous for its rainfall and living root bridges, Cherrapunji, also known as Sohra is located 60 kilometres from Shillong. The mesmerizing beauty of its natural caves, cascading waterfalls and many other beautiful tourist spots, Sohra's natural beauty is one to behold! When visiting Sohra, make sure to get your adventurer's hat on and explore the famous living root bridge, visit the Nohkalikai Falls and the Mawsmai Cave among other tourist spots.
  • Living Root Bridge – The most challenging, famous trekking spot, it tops the list of things to do in Cherrapunji. Situated in Nongriat, approximately 12 kilometres from Cherrapunji, this tourist spot is a natural wonder!
  • Nohkalikai Falls – Located in the East Khasi Hills district, is the tallest plunge waterfall in India. It is one of the most photogenic spots of Sohra. You can take the trek down to the clear blue-green pool of the falls.
