Day 1


Kick start your northeast trip from Guwahati, which is the most popular starting destination, owing to the accessibility it provides to the other northeast states. From here, your first destination is Cherrapunji which is approximately a 5-hour drive. On the way, you can stop at Umiam Lake - a mesmerising artificial lake set amid hilly terrains. Originally built as a dam, this lake now offers scenic views and fun water activities where you can spend 2-3 hours. After a satisfying lunch, resume your journey and head on straight to the town of Cherrapunji. Day 2

From here travel 12 km, trek up to the spectacular Nohkalikai Falls - the fourth tallest plunge waterfall in the world, with a lagoon-like pool at its base. After having your fill of the panoramic views, depart for the final destination of the day, towards the natural marvel of a double-decker bridge formation known as Living Root Bridge. Return to the resort and relax.
 

Day 3

Day 4


Wake up to an early bright day with more excitement and adventure to follow. Ride out to Agartala in Tripura on a long, yet totally worthwhile trip, and on the way, make a pit stop at the heritage site of Unakoti. These hills with their intricate carvings of Lord Shiva, are an awe-inspiring sight. After your quick sightseeing, continue to Agartala. The entire ride including the pitstop, will take approximately 14 hours. After you reach Agartala, opt to crash at Hotel Polo Towers, Agartala, and enjoy a merited sleep.
 

Day 5


After a scrumptious breakfast, visit the most popular attraction in the city - Ujjayanta Palace. A royal palace turned museum, relive the history of the Tripura greats.
