Trekking trails abound in Cherrapunjee. It's a great sport to try out while you're here because of the breath-taking views. The trek to the Living Root Bridge takes roughly 3 to 4 hours. Steps lead downhill towards the settlement of Nongriat. A forest trail winds through the hillside, eventually leading to the Living Root Bridge.

When exploring Cherrapunjee, you should go bird watching. Here you can see black-breasted parrotbills, black storks, and Asian openbills and learn more about different bird breeds and enjoy seeing flocks of unusual species near you.

Sohra is studded with waterfalls tumbling through steep gorges, and nearly all of them have mythology associated with them. The most well-known are the Nohkalikai Falls (India's highest plunge waterfalls), Kynrem Falls (India's seventh highest waterfall), Dainthlen Falls, and Nohsngithiang Falls (also known as the Seven Sisters Falls).
